Responsibilities
This role is for an Account Manager for Payment Facilitation clients.
SVB's Embedded Payments Program Success team is focused on clients who have built their own payments services on top of SVB's payments infrastructure. We enable vertical SaaS clients to embed payments acceptance into their platforms and become Payment Facilitators and are also powering B2B payments companies, alternative lenders, payroll processors, BNPL providers, and other fintechs embedding SVB's money movement capabilities into their products to process payments on behalf of their customers.
We are seeking candidates with experience in Client Success or Account Manager roles who have deep knowledge of payments (ACH, wires, checks, virtual cards, Push to Card, RTP, and Payment Facilitation). You'll be joining a client-facing team of Account Managers within the Embedded Payments Product organization focused on enabling our clients to evolve and/or disrupt the Financial Services industry. In addition to working with some of SVB's most innovative clients, you will work closely with internal teams across Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Relationship Management, and Global Treasury and Payment Sales.
Engage with SVB's complex and strategic payment processing clients to become a trusted strategic advisor and main point of contact for anything related to the clients' embedded payments programs.Grow and evolve these clients' payment programs, help navigate compliance topics, clear operational hurdles, and identify and manage risks.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to seek approvals, explore new solutions or processes, and coordinate with broader relationship teams.Manage and report on dedicated portfolio of clients including program performance, changes, expansion opportunities, concerns, and risks.
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $96,369.00 - 144,553.00 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 2-4+ year(s) of experience in a client-facing role in Client Success or Account Management in financial services or fintech OR High School Diploma or GED and 6-8+ year(s) of experience in a client-facing role in Client Success or Account Management in financial services or fintech
Have experience building strong trusting relationships with clients across multiple levels of seniority and functional areas.Have deep knowledge of the major US and cross-border payment methods (e.g. ACH, wires, checks, RTP, card).Demonstrate they have skills to advocate for clients and, at the same time, be able to have tough conversations with clients' senior leadership.Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and lead groups in problem-solving open-ended requests.Understand risk and compliance topics - including third/fourth-party, on-behalf-of payment models, AML, sanctions, fraud, payments network requirements - relevant to the embedded payments space.Thrive when faced with ambiguity.Be able to prioritize, own, and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously.Subject matter expertise in payments as well as humility to bring in other SMEs where needed.Ability to understand complex payment topics and articulate them to stakeholders.Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment within the bank.Excellent interpersonal, email, presentation, written and verbal skills.
