Description: This position is for a Sustainment Engineer to support the After Market Enterprises (AME) sustainment program support responsible for integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications. Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts and specifications. Performs analysis of the sustainment system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Other analysis may include interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability. Reports directly to the Sustainment Operations Depot Lead under the LSE AME contracts. Personnel are considered subject matter experts in reporting and data analysis and must keep open lines of communication with Field Service Representatives for related activities. Personnel are on call 24/7 to provide Sustainment, Logistics and Field Support. Candidate will interface with multiple disciplines daily and should have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn. Candidate will spend majority of time working in a team environment. Provide technical knowledge in the testing, operation, calibration, and maintenance for the HIMARS and M270 Launchers. Provide technical guidance, liaison assistance and information pertinent to the evaluation of operational difficulties involving the HIMARS and M270 Launchers and other equipment directly involved with the maintenance and operation of the system

Basic Qualifications:
-Able to obtain Secret clearance
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience/combined education (preferably supply chain related)
-Knowledge of shipping/receiving/warehousing activities
-Able to execute warehouse tasks that involve lifting items that weigh 40 lbs
-Able to operate material handling equipment (pallet stacker, forklift, etc)
-Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
-Proficiency/experience using Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Desired Skills:
-Detailed understanding of the MLRS M270A1 and/or HIMARS system to include fault isolation, diagnostics, and repair of MLRS M270A1/HIMARS electrical, hydraulic/mechanical systems.
-Active Secret Clearance
-Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
-Technical writing experience and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups.
-Experience with the government DD250 Process
-Familiar with Electrostatic Discharge Procedures
-Electric standup pallet stacker or forklift experience
-Experience with the Army supply system
-Military experience
