About Sustainability Data Analyst (f/m/d)

  By joining our Sustainability team, you will contribute to deliver Hitachi Energy's Purpose by helping to disclose our sustainability performance and strategy to boost the energy transition towards decarbonization.

  You as Sustainability Data Analyst are responsible to perform complex data analytical studies (including data visualization), micro and macro analysis in relation to the sustainability data collection deriving from sustainability legislative disclosure requirements, industry trends, and major international frameworks.

  Working within the Sustainability Team, you will help implement the sustainability reporting strategies at global level in support of corporate goals and Sustainability 2030 Agenda.

  Reporting to the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will coordinate the data collection methods and ensure data analysis, accuracy, assurance, and verification with focus on continuous improvement, work with other staff to develop options and recommend solutions, including support to the internal and external reporting and outreach efforts.

  Your responsibilities

  Data collection, analysis and visualization: You aggregate and analyze quantitative and qualitative data deriving from multiple data-collection reporting methodologies (GRI, EcoVadis, SASB, TCFD, EU'CSRD, Taxonomy, and ESRS)Qualitative and quantitative data reporting and verification: You conduct complex studies, statistical analysis, needs assessments, and evaluations of sustainable data collection methodologies.Sustainability Reporting: You prepare and maintain accurate and complete records and identify best practices, analyses, and recommendationsYou will execute data collection and analysis programs and projects in collaboration with supply chain and manufacturing to develop strategies, monitor performance, and provide expertise across multiple sites globallyYou work closely with internal cross-functional partners and consulting organizations to create and/or provide input for sustainability reports and presentationsYou conduct research to support the goals of the sustainability function, which includes embedding macro trends and modeling potential scenarios to predict data

  Your background

  You are a graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with Bachelor's and preferably Master's Degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, Education, Management, Science, Environmental or Earth Studies, Biological Science, Chemistry, Data ManagementYou have at least 2 years of experience performing research, analysis, and reporting related to sustainability and environmental programs in an international company, energy industry, data centers, renewables, or high-impact industry and/or consultancy on corporate sustainability / ESG sustainability reportingYou bring demonstrated knowledge of and experience in ESG data collection and reporting, operational implementation and technical competence in GRI, LEED, ISO, EPA, ISO14001, 26000, 37000 PMP, CDP, TFCD, SASB, IIRS, EU CSRD and taxonomy

  (Relevant certifications, data collections, and environmental auditing licenses will be considered a plus)You got knowledge of and proven experience in technical aspects of environmental sustainability, such as energy efficiency, waste, water, emissions, biodiversity, materials, supply chain management, etc.You have excellent computer skills to create spreadsheets and databases, including high level skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, PowerBi and relevant data management and visualization softwareYou have the ability to perform quantitative tasks with speed and accuracy, including collection and management of dataYou are passionate about driving sustainability
