Team
The Sustainability Program Office (SPO) is responsible for engaging with external stakeholders to share our progress, respond to inquiries, and solicit input that helps to strengthen our Future First sustainability strategy.The SPO is overseen by the Sustainability Executive Steering Committee-comprised of our Executive Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer, Executive Vice President of Data Center Services and Executive Vice President of Global Operations, and ultimately reports to Equinix's Board of Directors Nominating and Governance Committee.The team comprises 2 regional managers, one in APAC and one in EMEA. The team is led by the VP Sustainability, who reports into the SVP Corp Finance and Sustainability. There are an additional 5 members ranging from Snr. Manager (1) Manager (1) Snr. Analyst (2) and Junior Analyst (1).
Assignment and Responsibility:
Focused on supporting the APAC regional SPO teamCo-lead a Project to implement a Regulatory Dashboard to further improve data analytics and sustainability messaging to align internal teams, impacting performance and communication externally. Be part of global keepers to track emissions data, disclosure standards, country requirements, etc. at both regionally and at a country level.
Project Description:
The intern will assist the Snr Manager in engaging with cross-functional teams on Sustainability Strategy and value proposition proactively to enable external engagement. This could involve team presentations, answering queries or helping local teams with stakeholder engagement planning.Additionally, there will be interactions with communications and marketing to ensure appropriate and approved sustainability messaging. Most of this activity supports the intern's exposure to and learning about Equinix corporate sustainability strategy/approach/progress, etc.
Who You Are (Requirements and Qualifications):
A passion for sustainability and a strong purpose driven desire to make an impact. Proficiency working with data analytics tools and reporting software to facilitate the creation of a Regulatory Dashboard.Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business proficiency in English Ability to create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations, and share information and ideas with others This position will require ideation, analytical skills, critical thinking and an ability to engage effectively across departments from junior levels through to senior levels. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor's or master's degree studies (Graduation between December 2024-September 2025)
Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between May to September, depending on your school system)
SINGAPORE SPECIFIC Equinix will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require sponsorship of a visa
