In this role, you will maintain documentation or specifications, monitor open purchase orders for timely delivery on a daily basis and interacts with vendors to mitigate backorders or expedite orders, as needed. Essential Functions
Manage expiration stock levels to minimize waste, conduct timely transactions to properly liquidate and dispose of expired goods. Assist all internal customers with help in answering any questions pertaining to stock items.Ability to expedite transportation arrangements for needed deliveries and/ or pick-ups.Adhere to established SOPs and Universal Precaution guidelines at all times. Ability to requisition needed stock items. Process Purchase Order (inside and outside of the organization) and contact suppliers to follow-up on Purchase Order and the anticipated delivery date.Interact with internal requestors on material availability, critical supply issues, delivery dates, order problems and quality issues to meet inventory demand.Reconcile Account Payable issues with suppliers.Work with Senior Buyer and Sourcing manager to provide data and analysis.
Nonessential Functions
Assist in all necessary steps pertaining to Freight Claims, Damaged Shipments, and Return Item Authorizations as applicable to inventory stock.Assist in the coordination of monthly management reports. Observe Universal Precautions Procedures when applicable.Provide back-up coverage as needed.Comply with the Covance Quality System initiatives.Commit to demonstrating: professionalism, respect for Individuals, team skills, collaboration skills, creative problems solving and customer orientation
