The Supply Chain Planner-Senior will support the Spare Pool (buffer) planning process for a regional business. The Supply Chain Planning team is responsible for securing materials used in Zebra’s operations. Supply requirements are moderated by the team to ensure that inventory positions are appropriate to meet the demand requirements relative to forecasted levels, inventory on order and in transit from distribution centers, product life cycle, quality, and special customer requirements and /or projects. The team cooperates with Global Demand Planners, Buyers, Operations, Order Management, Logistics, Finance, Helpdesk and Customer Experience Management teams.
We are seeking for dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Planner whose role will be instrumental in optimizing our planning and inventory management processes through developing and maintaining PBIs and excel queries to provide actionable insights into supply chain performance and efficiency. Ideal candidate possesses strong background in supply chain management, has keen analytical mindset, and proficiency in data visualization/analysis tools.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with regional Logistical and Repair Centers, 3PLs, Contracts Distribution, Repair Operations and CSMs (Customer Success Managers) to assess operational preparedness and determine buffer stocks needs for new Premium service contracts and renewals.
Regularly report KPIs for buffer health to management ensuring timely hardware replenishment preventing OTD (on-time-delivery) misses and efficient processing of buffer related service contracts.
Maintain scorecard to weekly report lost jobs on Premium Service contracts illuminating root causes, driving corrective actions, and monitoring trends.
Source End of Life/Obsolete devices to fulfill contractual obligations until hardware End of Service Life.
Develop a methodology for inventory excess reduction incorporating Six Sigma principles.
Facilitate cross-functional processes for enhanced Customer support.
Coordinate faulty units returns from Customers in collaboration with CSMs, Customer Service Non-Technical support, Repair Centers, and Finance to maintain sufficient buffer size to support all service contracts.
Perform timely inventory adjustments for accurate inventory records.
Develop and share Best Practices in Spare Pool Planning and Customer service support within and across regions.
Maintain existing and participate in design/development of innovative tools leveraging PBI models, OAC reporting, excel queries to provide actionable insights into inventory performance and supply chain efficiency via close collaboration with data teams to ensure seamless integration of reporting tools.
Qualifications:
5-8 years’ experience in business, supply planning, inventory management and analytics.
Experience in developing and maintaining Power BI reports, Excel queries and other relevant data analysis tools.
Detail-oriented with focus on continuous improvement.
