Amazon Air is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to identify and develop game-changing air transportation solutions for Amazon’s middle-mile transportation network, with the aim of ultimately improving our customers’ experience. Work will make a significant, measurable impact on the business goals for Amazon Air’s Fleet, Aviation Sourcing & Technical (FAST) team. This leader will manage multiple internal and external discussions concurrently, including but not limited to hosting business reviews and contract negotiations with external suppliers. The position will be based in Bellevue, WA.
This position requires an employee’s full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute their job duties to ensure the safety and security of Amazon AIR personnel, third-party contractors, Airport personnel, cargo, and equipment. Key job responsibilities
Develops long-term strategies and influences cross-category buying processes and standards as well as cross-category vendor negotiations.
Conduct macroeconomic and category spend analysis utilizing data from Amazon’s spend analytics cube and external market data.
Conduct market and supplier research to enhance and inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
Gather insights from the analysis, consolidation and scoring of vendor proposals, and make recommendations to Category Managers and business partners.
Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and bench-marking analysis
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement processes and maintain procurement ethics in accordance with Amazon’s global policies.
Ability to travel up to 10%

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories such as professional services, support or maintenance spend, supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
2+ years of negotiations/cost savings, supplier excellence, and risk mitigation experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
