Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager (SCM), you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders to Retail teams and everything in between. You’ll help us optimise our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.
Key job responsibilities
• Champion the development of the operational elements of the Amazon Freight Partner, define best practice and co-ordinate with Program lead and Training lead to deliver a best in class partner experience in all expansion countries.
• Responsible for establishing workflows and standardizing Partners engagement through the onboarding phases, while also reducing lead times and partner defects while ensuring partners have a clear and customized growth plan with timelines for their business to operate with Amazon.
• Increasing efficiency and scalability in partner management by implementing account management tools and support the development of systems to improve the communication and interaction between Amazon and new partners in each of the expansion countries.
• Define, prioritize and plan the resources and technical requirements needed for program to be delivered on time.
• Collect market information and develop an strategy accordingly, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and contractual obligations.
• Develop and drive execution of a vision and goals for Carrier onboarding, education, and learning.
• Have clear, precise, and regular communication with all stakeholders. This includes ongoing project/program status reports as well as capturing requirements.
• Retrieve and analyze data using Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems.
A day in the life
Being a Supply Chain Manager for Amazon involves lots of problem solving. You’ll work with a number of teams to navigate challenges as and when situations impact our network. You’ll spend time resolving temporary issues and looking at the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards achieving new objectives. This role is both proactive and reactive, and you’ll have the opportunity to help forecast and plan for new projects.
As a Supply Chain Manager, you’ll need to help with both on-the-ground tasks and more tactical work. No two days will be the same. You could spend one day helping to define our supply chain and operating models and the next assisting with a site’s resource plan for a busy period. Having so much variety in your role means you’ll be able to learn something new every day.

Basic Qualifications
Experience in program or project management
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech teams
Experience in supply chain
Written and Spoken German proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
Experience of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience of driving process improvements
