In this job, the Supply Chain Senior Specialist is responsible for tracking and analyzing organizational performance, identifying risks, and maintaining data integrity. Responsible for monitoring, analysis, and reporting activities in support of Supply Chain project requirements including material supply, transportation, returns and discrepancies, inventory management, and field laydown yards. Supports key supply chain and procurement stakeholders for material planning and prioritization activities, specifically working with key teams to source and expedite critical materials. Responsible for maintaining data and reporting of several key metrics (e.g., materials movement and handling time/efficiency, loss reporting, , stock levels, and safety incident performance, etc.) critical to tracking operational performance for various internal and vendor Supply Chain stakeholders throughout SCE service territory, evaluating risk potential and conducting root cause analysis of performance issues, while proposing initiatives to optimize operational activities. Routinely provides recommendations and reports to mid and senior-level managers throughout SCE's supply chain and procurement teams.
Qualifications
The essentials
5 years of experience with data and cost analysis or related experience monitoring and tracking performance of operations. Proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) developing reports, presentations, and analyses.
The Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or related field of study, or a combination of education and experience in a related field. 5 or more years of experience within a materials procurement and supply organization, monitoring and tracking performance of materials movement and handling time/efficiency, loss reporting, stock levels, safety performance, etc.). Experience using SAP software in an inventory management and/or purchasing environment. Experience with industry best practices, standards, utility regulations, procedures, and compliance as they relate to materials procurement, inventory management, and supply chain logistics. Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, analyzing information, and making strategic decisions regarding scope, impact, policy, development, and implementation. PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Black, Green or Yellow Belt certification(s). Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including mid and senior-level leadership.
