Position Overview:
BCA (Boeing Commercial Airplanes) Supplier Quality is currently looking for a Supplier Quality Representative to join the team located in Xi‘an, working with suppliers throughout China. Domestic and international travel required. The position requires the implementation of supplier quality management processes including but not limited assessment of supplier capability, capacity and management of supplier performance in the technical areas of quality, performance and work statement compliance to ensure that suppliers' products and services, quality systems, special processes, meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency/government regulations. The position will focus on supporting BCA business unit.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products.
Documents audit and assessment results.
Inspects or verifies products for compliance.
Monitors supplier quality related activities and reports issues.
Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
Investigates and resolves routine issues and concerns. Ensures supplier notifications of quality escapes are processed.
Leads preventive activities as well as corrective activities with suppliers to address the root cause of quality escapes and improve the supplier performance.
Works cross-functionally with many different job disciplines, develops and maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Supports function related duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Science majors.
3 or more years of related experience working in aerospace industry.
Knowledge of the Quality System (BQMS/AS9100/ISO9001).
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with production (PC700) supplier quality requirements
Experience with Aerospace audit and quality assessments
Experience with APQP and PPAP
Experience working with a globally diverse team
Remarks:
