THE POSITION
Responsible for an area of hourly production employees, production speed, production quality, machine performance, talent development and retention, and safety of work environment including housekeepingResponsible for being a leader of people and work in a cross functional team to solve problems and ensure departmental KPIsSupport your team with any resources they need for success - tools, manpower and materialsEnforce internal rules as outlined in the Standard of Conduct and non-negotiablesFill out incident reports immediately and prior to leaving the shiftPlace all orders in CEOS (supplies, tools etc.)Conduct all inventory countsMaintain your area to be in order, maintain safety and housekeeping. Material flow is happening. FIFO is followedEnter maintenance work orders in SAP and keep product moving in the plantEnsure all hourly employees are qualified to perform duties in a timely mannerMaintain efficiency levels to assure availability of components to meet required schedulesAssist in identifying potential machine or quality problems within department of responsibilityParticipate and prepare for all internal and external QA / Customer audits, close all findings in a timely mannerManagement of confidential informationFollow all processes for containment and repair of materialChange over check list completionTimely response and effective resolution for departmental mis productionsEnsure that all sequenced production orders for the shift are executed and completed and communicate the "whys" if not met, reason code must be entered in SFI every dayEnsures departmental technical compliance to all mandatory requirements including Safety, Environmental, ISO, Quality, Plant policy, Corporate policy, etc.Assist with the development of instructional programs, process control plans and PFEMA of equipment. Identify/ incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program plansTrain/present course material. Insures maintenance of instructional programs, departmental work instructions, quality records, training recordsCoordinate, participate and track departmental improvement initiatives including Kaizen, TQM, TPM, 5S and Six Sigma initiativesWork with process engineers on improvement projects and be proficient in Microsoft officePerform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Maintain all departmental records, including overtime and vacation schedulingIssue procedures and work instructions, ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controlsRaise awareness, ensure regular ESH training and provide information about ESH responsibilities and dutiesEnsure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazardsDemonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate othersOther duties as assigned by ManagerAdditional Information
