　　Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

　　The Clinical Chemistry Laboratory is located at the Center for Laboratory Medicine (CLM) on East 64th Street. The CLM building opened in 2017, improving operational efficiency by allowing our Laboratory Medicine team to provide test results more quickly and reduce the amount of blood needed from a patient to generate those results.

　　The Clinical Chemistry Lab is currently seeking an experienced Supervisor to primarily oversee the protein immunology, ELISA, and circulating tumor cell (CTC) sections of the lab.

　　You will: 

　　Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the protein immunology, ELISA, and CTC sections within the Clinical Chemistry lab to ensure efficient and effective operations.Supervise and coordinate technical operations and daily activities of staff in assigned lab areasWork collaboratively with Physicians/Director, patient care staff/clinicians, reference labs and other business partners to optimize workflow while maintaining accreditation and licensure.Engage in personnel development, coaching and mentoring of technical staff.  Support development of personnel goals, tasks and service standards to set a high morale and motivation within the Clinical Chemistry lab and participating in performance evaluations.Oversee training and competency activities for staff members rotating in assigned lab sections Supervise new test and instrumentation implementation, including validation plan development. Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Oversee the performance of equipment maintenance, quality control, test configuration and result reportingSupervise and perform technical and analytical troubleshootingParticipate in performance improvement activities, recognition of learning needs, contribute ideas, recommendations and concerns to support management decision-making processInvestigate non-conformance events and participation in remediation plansSupervise document and information managementAssist lab management in ensuring compliance with local, state and federal accrediting and regulatory organizations regarding all processes and patient sample testing including compliance with OSHA, FDA, NYSDOH, Joint Commission, CLIA etc.Perform audits of Clinical Chemistry Laboratory operations to ensure compliance with the laboratory’s quality assurance program, standard operating procedures and regulatory agencies, communicating findings to the Clinical Chemistry lab Director/management team.

　　Bachelor’s degree clinical laboratory sciences required6+ years of proven experience required; Clinical Chemistry and Protein Immunology experience preferredNYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License requiredASCP preferredHours:
