Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Superintendent to oversee the new installation of fire alarms and suppression systems for commercial and industrial clients in Mobile, AL. 80% of the projects will be fire alarm while 20% will be suppression. The superintendent will be responsible for managing a 10 people team responsible for around $2.2M in annual sales. The goal will be to grow the team by 4 ppl and grow sales by 20% in a calendar year. Once a deal is signed by the sales team the superintendent will meet with the designer and field team to align on how to do the job. Once inked, the superintendent will spearhead a mobilization meeting with their crew and will oversee the crew through completion of the project. The superintendent will also be responsible for communicating product needs to the PM/Purchasing team and helping to receive product. Additional duties include signing off on job status once complete, approving crew time, and managing any additional change orders with the client. Upon project completion, the Superintendent will host a lessons learned meeting with the crew to identify areas of improvement.
Skills and Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in the fire and safety industry. Specifically with fire alarm OR suppression installation, maintenance, and inspections
Looking for someone coming from a hands on position and has moved into a foreman or superintendent role
- Previous experience leading a team of field workers and demonstrated ability to grow the team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills: ability to navigate email and knowledge of the Microsoft suite
- Construction knowledge and understanding of NFPA standards
- MUST have a clean record -- no violent or aggressive misdemeanors
- MUST be able to pass a drug test
- MUST have a clean driving record for 3 years no DUIs/Suspended License null
