The Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals department is looking for a Project Management intern to join their team!
About the Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department:
The Tunnels, Bridges, and Terminals department (TB&T) is the division of PANYNJ that operates and maintains the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, the Bayonne and Goethals Bridges, the Outerbridge Crossing, and the Midtown Bus Terminal and the George Washington Bridge Bus Station.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with team members on specific projects with the potential to be involved in a wide range of project-related work including presentation graphics and review of construction documentsAssist Project Managers in preparing authorization documents and presentationsPreparing/update project schedules and budgetsPrepare progress meeting agendas and notesOrganize site visits and investigate/resolve field issuesAssist Unit Managers in the consolidation of various reporting documents
Qualifications:
Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program through the Fall 2024 semester (August 2024 or beyond)Experience with Microsoft apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.Excellent written and oral communication skillsInterest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey regionInterest in public service and/or transportationWillingness to learn
Desired:
Interest in a career directed towards Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure Project Management, Architecture, or a related fieldExcellent presentation techniquesWorking knowledge of Adobe
Internship Details:
The start date will be Thursday, May 30 with an orientation that will take place at 4 World Trade Center in Lower ManhattanThe internship will last 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 23This is a full-time internship (generally 5 days per week at 7.25 hours of work per day plus a 45-minute break)The format is expected to be hybrid, partially virtual and partially in-person at 4 World Trade Center in Lower ManhattanThe hourly salary range is $17.20 to $28.85 (the hourly salary is determined by internship type and school year)These details are subject to change
