　　The Aviation department is looking for a Data Analytics intern for their JFK Airport Rail Operations team!

　　About the JFK Airport Rail Operations Team:

　　AirTrain JFK is fully autonomous train system serving the JFK Airport terminal and connecting passengers to rental car facilities, long term parking and the greater New York regional transportation network. The Rail Operations team provides oversight on the Operations and Maintenance of this state of the art technological system. Our team is multidisciplinary with subject matter expertise in IT systems, automatic train control systems, power distribution and security to name a few. The selected candidate will be a part of a dynamic team that solves problems in real time and collaborates with JFK airport stakeholders to provide world class customer service to our passengers.

　　Qualifications:

　　Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program through the Fall 2024 semester (August 2024 or beyond)Experience with Microsoft apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.Excellent written and oral communication skillsInterest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey regionInterest in public service and/or transportationWillingness to learn

　　Major in Data Analytics/Science, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related majorExperience in programming or automation with tools such as R, Python, Power AutomateTeam player with the ability to think outside the boxTransit experienceEagerness to play an active role in the premier transit system in New York

　　Internship Details:

　　The start date will be Thursday, May 30 with an orientation that will take place at 4 World Trade Center in Lower ManhattanThe internship will last 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 23This is a full-time internship (generally 5 days per week at 7.25 hours of work per day plus a 45-minute break)The format is expected to be enter hybrid, partially virtual and partially in-person at JFK AirportThe hourly salary range is $17.20 to $28.85 (the hourly salary is determined by internship type and school year)These details are subject to change
