The Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals departments is looking for a Data Analytics intern to join their E-ZPass Customer Service team!
About the Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department and E-ZPass Customer Service Unit:
The Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals department (TB&T) is the division of Port Authority that operates and maintains the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, the Bayonne and Goethals Bridges, the Outerbridge Crossing, and the Midtown Bus Terminal and the George Washington Bridge Bus Station.
The E-ZPass Customer Service team works closely with customers and non-revenue account holders who use Port Authority bridges and tunnels. Our team's mission is to ensure that customers have a positive experience when contacting us. The team works to successfully resolve any outstanding issues that may occur with E-ZPass accounts and Toll Bills.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and create an updated version the team's customer credit workflowIdentify and implement ways to improve the existing process for tracking customer credit requestsCreate enhanced analytics tools such as dashboards for credit requests and customer inquiriesAnalyze and track data from customer satisfaction surveys to help create a story using data measuring our success in meeting customers' expectations and any areas of deficiencyAssist with customer outreach to non-revenue account holders that need to act on their accountsCreate a tracking tool for the team for ongoing activities and projects.
Qualifications:
Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program through the Fall 2024 semester (August 2024 or beyond) with a major in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, Operations Research, or related fieldExperience with Microsoft apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.Excellent written and oral communication skillsInterest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey regionInterest in public service and/or transportationWillingness to learn
Desired:
· Proficient in technology
· Working knowledge of databases
· Some knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
· Excellent analytical and research skills
Internship Details:
The start date will be Thursday, May 30 with an orientation that will take place at 4 World Trade Center in Lower ManhattanThe internship will last 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 23This is a full-time internship (generally 5 days per week at 7.25 hours of work per day plus a 45-minute break)The format is expected to be hybrid, partially virtual and partially in-person at 4 World Trade Center in Lower ManhattanThe hourly salary range is $17.20 to $28.85 (the hourly salary is determined by internship type and school year)These details are subject to change
