　　The Engineering department is looking for an intern to join their Enterprise Asset Management team!

　　About the Enterprise Asset Management Unit:

　　Enterprise Asset Management is a program of projects and initiatives that utilize world class principles and best practices to assess, maintain, and manage the Agency's physical assets throughout their lifecycle while providing visibility into their health. ​​​​ Through workforce empowerment and continuous improvement in processes, technology, work methods, and tools, the EAM Program optimizes asset risk, performance, and cost.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Technology Requirements GatheringAssist in the elicitation and documentation of technology system requirements from Program stakeholdersCollaborate with team members to identify commonalities between requirements and recommend efficient solutionsTake part in the development of testing procedures to validate desired outcomesAsset Management Standards DevelopmentAssist the Governance Team in developing standards and procedures that bolster Asset Management focus areas (e.g., operations & maintenance improvements and asset performance)Spearhead research initiatives regarding future technology solutions that may form part of the Program's strategic roadmapContinuous Improvement ProjectsLead continuous improvement project(s) to improve the overall daily operations of the Enterprise Asset Management Division and/or its partner departments and facilities.

　　Qualifications:

　　Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program through the Fall 2024 semester (August 2024 or beyond)Experience with Microsoft apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.Excellent communication skills and adept at achieving consensus.Interest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey region through public serviceWillingness to learn

　　Academic background in Engineering, Asset Management, Information Technology, Business, Public Administration, or a related disciplineAbility to thrive in a dynamic, teams-based environment.Data analytics experience, particularly using business intelligence tools, Python, and/or SQL

　　Internship Details:

　　The start date will be Thursday, May 30 with an orientation that will take place at 4 World Trade Center in Lower ManhattanThe internship will last 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 23This is a full-time internship (generally 5 days per week at 7.25 hours of work per day plus a 45-minute break)The format is expected to be hybrid, partially virtual and partially in-person at 2 Montgomery Street in Jersey City, NJThe hourly salary range is $17.20 to $28.85 (the hourly salary is determined by internship type and school year)These details are subject to change
