　　Summary / Role Purpose

　　Join the Ansys Student Internship Program to apply your education to solve real world engineering problems, advance career skills and experience work at Ansys. You will be part of the Ansys OnScale Cloud Solvers team where you will help develop robust solvers and test their scalability on a cloud computing platform. You will have the opportunity to apply the latest C++ standards and interact with Ansys global leaders. The internship will run for 3 months during the summer college semester from May to August 2023. This is a fully remote position.

　　Key Duties and Responsibilities

　　Analyze, develop, and integrate preconditioners from external libraries into the solverTest the robustness and scalability of the preconditionersDevelop and document validation test casesGenerate simulation benchmark and scaling data for large modelsCoordinate with Cloud Dev-Ops, Customer Success and Solver Development teams

　　Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

　　Required Education and Degree Type: Pursuing PhD program in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.Experience with C++ programming in Scientific or Engineering applicationsKnowledge of parallel programming and computer architectureAbility to learn quickly, understand complex systems and to work closely with othersExperience with numerical libraries such as Trilinos, PETSc.

　　Preferred Qualifications and Skills

　　Experience with any of the following:Cloud computing tools, processes, or applicationsEngineering simulation toolsData science applicationsSoftware development experience including build, test and deploymentSoftware performance optimization experience in the HPC context (MPI load balancing, vectorization, multithreading, GPU acceleration)
