Substation Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team. Ideally, this PM will be located our Fort Worth, TX office, however, we will consider applicants for other locations where a POWER Engineers office is present. The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER Engineers designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contractual, technical and financial aspects of power delivery projects, maintaining and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's power delivery services to existing and new clients in the respective region. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project
Collaborate with project design teams on a regular basis (e.g. regular project status meetings)
Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team
Develop scopes of work, schedules, and budgets. Work with team members to keep these updated on a regular basis.
Take leading role in client relationships
Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other POWER divisions based on the nature of any particular project
This position will primarily have local travel to regional clients
Demonstrated project management skills should include scheduling, budget and cost analysis, managing project teams, client marketing, and project presentations
Required Education/Experience
PE registration or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, or project lead engineering experience on projects
Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
Intimate knowledge of substation design principles and substation project management
Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
Desired Education/Experience
Ten (10) + years’ applicable industry experience
Five (5) + years’ project management/project lead experience with Texas region projects preferred
Experience in substation designs and management preferred
Familiarity with regional utilities in the respective region

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $75k - $163k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
