A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Deliver technical support for IT-related field tools, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring the effective functioning of these tools. Design and build data analytic tools tailored for compliance reporting. Supports projects focused on enhancing Substation IT field tools, such as field-testing software, CMS and administration support of shared servers. Use Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) tools to perform advanced statistical analysis, data visualization, and forecasting. Use data insights to enhance compliance strategies and decision-making. Provide strategic oversight in the development of internal policies related to compliance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain best practices in alignment with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
The essentials
Five or more years of experience supporting electric utility industry IT Tools or performing data analytics functions such as managing data systems, developing database queries and/or developing tools. Valid Driver's License.
The preferred
Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or related technical field. Two or more years of experience with any of the following tools: CMS, TCA, SCADA, HMI, Doble Protection Suite, or software within the LENS repository. Proficient in Microsoft Access and VBA coding or similar database programs. Experience working with programming languages (e.g. PYTHON, JAVA, SAS). Experience working with SAP. Experience working with external vendors to successfully implement solution applications. Technical writing skills.
You should know
This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
