A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Collaborate closely with the Senior Specialist and Associate Specialist to meticulously review test results from protective relays. Ensuring that these results meet the stringent requirements of NERC PRC-005, contributes to the overall reliability and security of our operations. Examine SAP records to verify the accuracy of tags. Leverage technical knowledge and expertise in compliance standards to make precise determinations, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our records management system. Lead and support audit-related projects, demonstrating strong project management skills. This includes coordinating efforts, timelines, and resources to facilitate flawless compliance audits. Use Statistical Analysis System (SAS) tools to perform advanced statistical analysis, data visualization, and forecasting. Leverage these insights to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance our compliance strategies. Provide strategic oversight in the development of internal policies related to compliance standards. Contribute to the establishment of standard methodologies and processes that align with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
The essentials
Seven or more years of experience supporting testing of Substation protective equipment or supporting Compliance functions/programs.
The preferred
Bachelor's degree. Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex compliance concepts effectively. Strong understanding of NERC PRC-005 and other relevant compliance standards. Proficiency in Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) tools for data analysis and visualization. Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to compliance management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
You should know
This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
