The Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) Team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Subcontract Manager (SM). The selected candidate will support all aspects of subcontracted activities to maintain FARA Program contractual milestones to develop subcontract systems and achieve preliminary design for the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development program. The candidate will be responsible for the relationship between RMS-SAC and selected subcontractors, supporting specific Integrated Product Teams. Main responsibilities are included but not limited to identification of subcontractors for certain systems, issuance of proposals, analysis of proposal documents, establishment of the programmatic business artifacts and leading the multi-functional subcontract management team through the execution phase.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited college at the Bachelor level or above
Must have six or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or four or more years of related experience with a master's degree
Experience with the procurement of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment within US Defense industry
Experience managing complex major subcontracts
Experience with standard acquisition policies and procedures, with associated knowledge of FAR / DFARS requirements
Experience with specialized application software associated with the Procurement function such as basic Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems
Negotiation experience
Microsoft Office experience / skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel
Desired Skills:
Degree in Supply Chain Management at the Bachelor level or above
Self-motivated, demonstrated sense of urgency, ownership of tasks and accountable for all assignments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
