Description: The Material Program Manager (MPM) will manage and oversee and act as a key program team member providing Supply Chain material guidance to the program managers and other functions. This will include, but not limited to, managing program material strategies, overseeing procurement processes, and collaborating with program managers and team. developing material strategies, identifying and mitigating program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements; reporting/tracking all program material activities; achieving program material budget objectives; managing program purchase requirements to lead time schedule; participating in sourcing process improvement projects (both Supply Chain and Program); resolving Supply Chain issues for the program and resolving program material cost problems. The position may support a variety of efforts for the LCS and MMSC post-delivery and sustainment efforts. The MPM will use critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program success.
1. Responsible for the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies in support of the LCS and MMSC post-delivery reports. To include at a minimum by Planning letter, Ship and Work Item Tasking, Estimated Deliver Date.
2. Coordinate with Program Managers and team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements.
3. Present material status as required to the PMS 501 customer by ship and across multiple government customers in a fast-paced environment.
4. Works closely with the material planner organization to ensure the review of purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, completeness, and obtain additional information considered necessary.
5. Work actively to manage the procurement process from order placement through receipt of products and subsequent payment of invoices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with
subcontracts or complex procurements.
- Experience developing solicitations, including terms and conditions, payment terms, contract type, etc.
- Subcontract proposal evaluation, negotiations and administration experience.
- Experience with LM P2P system, preparing compliant PO Folders and issuing subcontracts/modifications.
- SDRL management and invoicing experience.
- Versed in FAR/DFAR and LM Acquisition procedures.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- Independent self-starter with a sense of urgency and strong ownership of work.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
- Proven record of proactive engagement and communication with internal and external customers.
Desired Skills:
-Knowledge of supply chain and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- Experience with the Truth In Negotiation Act.
- Experience with Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, and Time and Material subcontracts.
- Excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to interface with suppliers, internal customers, and external customers.
- Previous LM experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
