DEA's Spokane, WA office is hiring a sUAS Pilot and Geospatial Technician. As a sUAS Pilot and Geospatial Technician your responsibilities will be diverse and will include business development promoting sUAS services, training other pilots within DEA, processing point cloud and imagery data, and performing flights and related field work.Position duties include but are not limited to:Promote sUAS capabilities throughout the companyProvide sUAS presentations, demonstrations, marketing support, estimates, and proposalsPromote sUAS training and updates based on our current 3-Tier sUAS Certification programConduct Remote Pilot reviews, check flights, and ongoing qualifications trackingOversee system updates and maintenance of our sUAS fleet, controllers, and sensorsCoordinate ground and flight operations including mission planning, briefing, execution, debriefing, and data acquisitionConduct data processing for imagery and point cloud workflowsCoordinate with Surveyors, Engineers, Scientists, and Construction Inspectors for desired sUAS deliverablesEnsure compliance with company policy, industry best practices, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulationsUpdate operational and safety procedures for new sUAS aircraft, platforms, features, or sensorsKnowledge of various unmanned aerial system hardware and software, including LiDARCapture sUAS video and still images of infrastructure for marketing and construction progressConduct utility and bridge inspections and mapping with sUAS assetsMarket sUAS services to utility agencies, current and potential clients and related industriesWork with structural engineers to develop safe sUAS based bridge inspection proceduresLearn to incorporate GIS, GPS, and CAD software into sUAS workflows from other staffBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Unmanned Aerial Systems, or related field2 years of sUAS mapping experienceKnowledge and experience operating in US airspaceCertified Part 107 Remote PilotExperience with ArcGIS ProBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceHealth Savings and Lifestyle Spending Account with employer contributionSupport for continuing education and training opportunitiesPaid Time Off (PTO)/Holiday Pay401k and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Holistic Wellbeing Program with a focus on physical, emotional, financial, career and community healthOpportunity for growth with support and mentoring to help with professional goalsAnticipated pay rate for this position is $32-$36 per hour depending on location and experienceSurvey Jobs with DEA:DEA fosters a unique, collaborative work environment where specific expertise can be targeted for optimal client solutions.
