ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible UK has three state of the art in-house recording studios where a range of audio dramas, podcasts and audiobooks are recorded. We are looking for someone to join our Studios team for the duration of an upcoming project, providing essential in-studio support to ensure the project’s recording sessions run smoothly and efficiently. We pride ourselves on not only capturing the perfect performance but supporting talent throughout, ensuring our space enables them to thrive creatively.
This role is initially open for a 22-month contract and is based in London.
As Studio Support / Engineer, you will...
Manage the allocation of studio time for the project, working alongside the project’s Producer(s) and Production Manager(s) to ensure recording sessions are booked and tracked efficiently and methodically
Support the in-house studios team to ensure set-up information and assets are ready for each of the project’s recording session
Support the audio engineering team to ensure the studio(s) are set up ready to go for recording
Support the audio engineering team with management of the project’s audio files
Troubleshoot issues that may arise throughout the recordings
Research and test new kit and recording technology
Record on location, if and when required for this project
Assist with other tasks to support the day to day running of a busy recording studio environment

Basic Qualifications
Experience with ProTools
Demonstrated expertise in audio engineering
Experience working in a recording studio, involving studio setup and troubleshooting as integral components of the role
Experience coordinating and managing multiple recording sessions concurrently
Preferred Qualifications
Strong logistical, organisational and time-management skills
Able to work independently, proactively and meet deadlines
Dedicated team player who works collaboratively and supportively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
