Job Description
The Student Sustainability Engagement Intern will assist the Sustainability and Marketing Managers to ensure Aramark/Clemson Home Dining?s sustainability marketing needs are met. This position will primarily assist with planning and promoting sustainability-oriented events as well as creating marketing material for Clemson Home Dining sustainability initiatives. The applicant must be a student at Clemson University and possess excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
Job Responsibilities
Assist Sustainability Manager with coordinating and executing marketing campaigns on campus.Help plan and execute events, including educational tables, farmer?s markets, residential theme events, etc.Collaborate with graphic designer to develop and distribute signage on campus.Create education and outreach materials as neededAssist in planning for reoccurring eventsAct as a liaison between Clemson University and campus partners, students and community members.Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitationEnsures security of company assetsCommunicate effectively with students, faculty, staff and community members.Attend weekly staff meetings and regular weekly project team meetings.Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Must be a current Clemson University StudentBig-picture thinking with holistic ideas for student engagement and the over-sustainability initiativeCreative marketing skillsOrganized and efficient worker; ability to keep track of multiple projects and tasksRequires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.Candidate must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsProficient in MS officeAbility to work both independently and on a team
