As part of the Merrill organization, the Investment Solutions Group strives to provide world-class investment strategies, platforms, solutions, and support for clients across all wealth management lines of business (including Merrill and the Private Bank). Through a highly effective Investment Process, they provide investment solutions across all product platforms and asset classes - equity, fixed income and alternative investments including structured products and specialty assets - through a comprehensive due diligence and oversight process for client portfolios. They also coordinate the investment strategy for wealth management advisors and clients, harmonizing and distilling market themes, identifying trends and supporting our client-focused investing approach.
Job Description:
The Market-Linked Investments Structuring & Origination team ("the Team") is cross-asset structured products unit responsible for originating, structuring, positioning and executing transactions for both retail and Ultra-High-Net-Worth ("UHNW") clients based across the Americas. Focus on over-the-counter and securitized cross-asset products with embedded vanilla or light-exotic optionality on equity, commodities, currencies, interest rates and hybrid underlying assets. As part of their responsibilities, professionals on the Team develop research-driven strategic and tactical trading ideas; provide advice on portfolio hedging and positioning based on client's objectives and risk tolerance; and engage in the structuring, origination, positioning and execution of OTC derivatives and/or Structured Notes/Market-Linked Investments.
The successful candidate will be a well-rounded individual who possesses strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills. This person will be responsible for providing all aspects of the origination and structuring including preparing term sheets, ideas/marketing materials and presentations; pricing equity derivatives, executing transactions and coordinating the booking of transactions with relevant support departments.
