Job Description
- Boeing is looking for Structural Mechanics to work on Executive Fleet Operations onsite in San Antonio, TX. Day to day duties will include drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas. You will also be responsible for sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving the aircraft in accordance with standard repair processes. Other responsibilities will include locating blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure and participating in tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts to the aircraft.
Skills and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience as a Structural Mechanic (no Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.)
- 4+ years working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.
- Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools (test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, etc)
- Must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35lbs.
- Experience working in the Aerospace or Aviation industry or with aircraft structures.
- Ability to work either Shift 1 or Shift 2 - Experience with Depot Level/Heavy Structures maintenance
- Experience operating a forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment. null
