Job Summary: TheStructural Technician I takes specific job-related information andconverts it into the format of drawings per the established design anddrafting standards. The Structural Technician I should have a workingknowledge of the structural systems they are depicting and should striveto understand the relationship between building components. They shouldassist the Structural Engineer or Designer they are working with inexposing relational discrepancies in both plans and details. EssentialDuties and Responsibilities: *Drawing production, building modeling,and applying established production standards to assignments *Extractrelevant information from the model/plans of other disciplines andimplement structural requirements associated with that information*Field surveys *Review shop drawings, as directed *Develop workingknowledge of analysis and plan production software (AutoCAD/Revit)*Assist with engineering administrative activities *Supportmiscellaneous projects and general administrative tasks The statementsmade in the job description are intended to describe the general natureand level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
