Your Opportunity
As a Structural Engineer in Training, you will work with close guidance and supervision on entry level tasks for smaller projects, and as a team member of larger water and wastewater infrastructure projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Designer. You will assist in verifying compliance with engineering standards/practices.
Your Key Responsibilities
Conducts basic interpretations of drawings, and other similar materials
Assists in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
Assists in the preparation and revisions to documents in various project phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details
Coordinates with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, architectural, etc.)
Assists in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks
Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members
Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions
Assists with implementing sustainable design principles into the design and surrounding environment
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought
Understanding of structural engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others
Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material
Experience with water retaining structures is preferred
Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite; Prefer experience with AutoCAD
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Co-op / internship experience preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):
$69,600.00 - $97,500.00 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HIThe final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
