We are seeking a Structural Engineer (Buildings) to join Jacobs’ Federal & Environmental Solutions business group. Collaborating with our diverse team of architects and engineers, you’ll design structural systems for a variety of building types including government and mission-critical facilities, laboratories, manufacturing complexes, and historic building renovations. You’ll be accountable for schedule, scope, budget, and technical quality of engineering tasks and construction documents. You’ll lead teams through the design process and actively mentor junior staff.

Here’s what you’ll need :
Here is what you’ll need:
Master’s degree in civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
5 years of relevant buildings-related structural design experience
Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM)
Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE) including lateral load (e.g., seismic, wind) development
Experience with construction support services for building projects
Desire to take independent initiative and ownership of work, and an eagerness to learn
Strong written and verbal communication skills
United States Citizenship
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Structural Engineer (S.E.) license
Experience with Revit and BIM 360
Experience leading project teams
Experience with Federal (DoD, Federal Civilian, or Defense Contractor) projects
Familiarity with Design-Build or Early Contractor Involvement project delivery
United States Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain
