This involves preparation ofengineering drawings and calculations, review of project plans, anddevelopment of project solutions to assist the sales team in integratingContech's products into site plans.Structural Analysis: Perform structural analysis and design of bridgeelements, including superstructures, foundations, and retaining walls.Collaboration: Work effectively with in-house engineers, CAD Techs,Sales/Marketing Team members, and outside engineers to specify and designContech's products.Technical Support: Offer technical support to the Operations/ManufacturingTeam to ensure proper fabrication of products.Communication: Coordinate with field sales staff and the manufacturing teamto address questions and concerns regarding product design, manufacturing,and installation. You will also provide technical advice to thesales/marketing team and external consultants.Quality Control: Review design work produced by other team members to ensureaccuracy. Inspect and observe in-house fabrication for adherence to designdrawings.Standards and Training: Maintain engineering standards, policies, bestpractices, and procedures. Help develop training programs and aids forproductsDocumentation: Assist in the development and writing of technical papers andproduct literature needed for the support and promotion of Contech's products.Specification Expertise: Have a working knowledge of governingspecifications covering products and contribute to the development andmodification of such specifications. May serve on technical committees todevelop these specifications.Professional Development: Maintain knowledge and certifications in thecivil/structural engineering field. This includes attending industry tradeshows, continuing education courses, and seminars, as necessary.Site Visits: Occasional travel to job sites to provide technical support,consultation, and evaluation related to product installations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering; strong preference for Civil Engineeringwith a Structural emphasis.EIT required; PE or eligibility to take the PE exam within one year of hireis strongly preferred.3-6 years of experience in structural steel or bridge design.Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel required.Experience with AUTOCAD, finite element analysis, and/or structuralanalysis software preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to develop and ma ntain strong team and client relationships.High-level analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.If you are a skilled Design Engineer with a passion for structuralengineering, an eye for detail, and a desire to work in a hands-oncollaborative environment, we encourage you to apply for the Design Engineerposition.
