About Strategy Research Associate

  As a Strategy Research Associate, you will identify and assess new partnership opportunities for Via through researching and evaluating various deal opportunities, public and private sector procurements, and funding opportunities. Working with senior members of the Strategy & Business Development Team, you will leverage your deep understanding of the evolving mobility and public transportation landscape, and apply your knowledge of Via’s unique technical and operational strengths, to build and evaluate an ongoing pipeline of partnership opportunities.

  What You'll Do:

  Serve as the “Eyes and Ears” for Via’s Strategy & Business Development team, researching and evaluating the public mobility landscape to identify new opportunities for Via Apply critical reading and communication skills to evaluate, summarize, and champion new TransitTech procurement opportunities Leverage various market research and CRM software platforms to search for new opportunities and build a pipeline of potential deals for evaluation and Go/No-Go decisions Work closely with Via’s Partnerships, Partner Success, and Business Model Innovation teams to identify new procurement or funding opportunities that could drive growth with Via’s existing partners Conduct competitive intelligence research to understand evolving TransitTech industry trends Rigorously research global mobility trends by analyzing news and other forms of information and synthesizing findings into insightful commentary Skillfully manage communications with potential partners over the phone, email, and while representing Via on pre-bid conferences Support Via’s business leadership in developing greater scale in Go-to-Market practices, systems, and processes Who You Are:

  Minimum of 1+ years experience in a dynamic work environment; prior experience in a research / intelligence role, consulting, corporate strategy, or at a startup is a plus Demonstrated experience conducting primary and secondary business research An exceptional communicator (both verbal and written) with an instinctive ability to read critically and synthesize information from various sources into easily digestible memos/notes/briefs Socially-minded, action-oriented, and passionate about urbanism; you understand the importance of public transit and are motivated to improve worldwide access to mobility Meticulous and strategic; you can pay attention to every detail in a complex project while, at the same time, relate each of them to the big picture in a coherent way Passionate about Via’s mission and highly enthusiastic about the opportunity to drive significant growth by winning competitive procurements Excited at the prospect of learning various research tools (e.g., Govwin), CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and more, and to create scalable Go-to-Market processes and systems Critical reading and complex information synthesis skills You have led (or played a leading role in) the development and win of a business or public sector proposal / pitch / deal / etc. Compensation and Benefits:

  Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
