About Strategy and Operations Manager, Google Cloud

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy or similar experience in the technology industry.

  Experience working with senior-level stakeholders in an enterprise environment.

  Experience using productivity tools such as spreadsheets, word-processors, etc.

  Preferred qualifications: Knowledgeable in the technical aspects of cloud computing infrastructure and enterprise IT deployments. Good understanding of consumption-based business models.

  Solid business acumen, thought leadership and distinctive problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive business implications and actions from data. Excellent project management skills leading operational and strategic initiatives in a hyper-growth environment. Excellent communication skills, including strong storytelling and presentation skills.

  About the job

  As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in developing the strategy for how Google Cloud operates and makes investment decisions. You will help to define our overall go-to-market strategy, propose where we make investments, contribute to strategic initiatives, analyze the financial viability of different solutions and verticals, and study the market to ensure we stay ahead of macroeconomic trends and our competitors. You will be a strategic partner of the senior leadership of Google Cloud and will build relationships of mutual trust. You will be in a high-visibility and high-impact role and you will be able to play an important role to shape and guide the strategic decisions that we make.

  The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

  Responsibilities

  Collaborate across several cross-functional Google teams in order to support with the development of the overall strategy for Google Cloud, with a focus on North America. Serve as a partner to the Strategic Initiatives Manager for North America, with a focus on running analyses and draft compelling presentations for leadership reviews. Work with members of the Strategic Insights team to define where we make investments in terms of headcount, infrastructure (i.e., data centers), and other big bets. Drive strategic initiatives to optimally set up our organization and operating model and drive growth of the business. Drill into the financial viability of our business to understand the relative profitability of solutions, markets, and verticals in order to enhance the profit and lossof the business.
