The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. The Davenport facility has 750+ (340+ bargaining unit and 400+ salaried employees) and is leader in in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of aerospace mission systems components, systems and services to the US defense and commercial global aftermarket and OEM markets. World Leader in Air to Air Refueling technology.
What you’ll do:
The primary role of the Strategy Analyst is to help manage and drive a product or group of products through the phases of its life cycle to maximize revenues and contributions. This will include assisting in the development of product strategies and value propositions and working across the business to help develop solutions. Key Products within the portfolio need to be assessed and appropriate strategies developed. This extends from assisting with the management of aging products in the portfolio; obsolescence, helping to drive transition and upgrades; to assessing market and customer requirements to help drive the Product and Technology roadmap for development and help drive business cases and campaigns which deliver growth in the target product capability areas.
• Assist the capability lead in the Product Portfolio/Market Segment across the business.
• Help the capability lead define the strategic direction of the business for the market segment, including the Product Roadmaps, and assisting in setting the business plan and strategic priorities for growth.
• Ensure ownership for the product and market segment that takes the lifecycle value into account; including monitoring and achieving the sales and profit targets defined by the business plan, and the performance metrics established for the value stream.
• Assist in helping to develop product requirements for current and future product developments though close coordination with sales, key customers, engineering and industry events.
• Help drive the product roadmap for the Product Family and liaise with Engineering to agree the PV investment plan and allocation of resources.
• Spend time in the market with customers, to understand market and competitive environment and ensure product positioning and channel strategies are set to maximize growth.
• Help develop business cases and value propositions for new product development and support the LCM Programs review gates and PV investment.
• Ensure the Product Management function takes a price positioning; value proposition; training and sales campaign planning (as required).
• Provide regular clear communication and presentation of the BD/PV developments-Product Development Roadmap; PV plan and Business Development/Sales Campaigns.
• Act as "voice of the Customer" and encourage team behavior.
• Developing and maintaining ongoing collection of competitor intelligence.
• Assisting with and monitoring annual 5YP Strategic Plan.
• Maintaining global aircraft fleet forecast.
• Development and maintenance of Product Group Plans.
• Management of Product and Technology Roadmaps.
• Maintaining and updating the M&A Target listings.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Marketing or Business from an accredited institution
• Three years of product management experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including extensive experience of dealing with senior customers, officials and Ministers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and firsthand internal and external communications experience.
• Intelligent, with excellent analytical and strategic skills.
• Good business judgment and problem-solving skills
