Job Summary:
The Co-op program will allow students to develop a corporate business sense by learning how each department contributes to the overall organization as well as crucial problem-solving and public speaking skills while attending business meetings and participating in projects.
In this position, the Co-op will be a key part of the Strategic Sourcing team and gain valuable real-world experience. Our team leads long term strategy development and execution for sourcing critical products. The Co-op will be involved in and/or observe supplier selection, long term contract negotiation, internal stakeholder discussions, learning strategic supplier relationships, process improvements, and understanding supply base management supplier strategy.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The role will involve working with the team as they assess the supply base, understand supply chain requirements, forecast requirements for parts, engage with program stakeholders, recognize operational needs, and take proactive action to meet the requirements of the business.
The COOP will report to the manager responsible for the Strategic Sourcing of Radio Frequency (RF) parts. However, the position offers unique opportunity to collaborate cross functionally. Further, the COOP will help the team as they work to influence business critical decisions such as capital investments, strategic supplier ‘exits’, and supply base ‘right sizing’.
Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with the functional supervisor to ensure the overall objectives are met.
Review spend and forecast data to support planning for supplier engagements.
Use data to help drive decision making and prioritization.
Work with the team in a positive and can-do attitude to conduct strategic sourcing projects.
Develop presentations and use communication skills to share information.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a master’s degree in business
Must be in year two of Northeastern University (NEU) MBA program by the start of summer 2024

Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft office skills (MS Power Point, MS Excel)

Additional Information:
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
This position is currently designated as fully remote however, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).
Clearance Information:
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
