Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, operations or similar experience in the technology industry.
Experience working with executive level stakeholders.
Experience using productivity tools (i.e., spreadsheets, word-processors, etc.).
Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of technical aspects of cloud computing infrastructure and enterprise IT deployments.
Understanding of consumption-based business models.
Excellent business acumen, thought leadership, and distinctive problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive business implications and actions from data.
Excellent project management skills, leading operational and strategic initiatives in a hyper-growth environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and presentation skills.

As the Strategic Initiatives Manager, you will serve in a critical role, supporting the development of the strategy of how Google Cloud operates, goes to market, and makes investment decisions globally. As part of our team, you will help define our overall go-to-market strategy, propose where we make investments, lead strategic initiatives/programs, analyze the financial viability of different decision-making options, and study the market to ensure we stay ahead of macroeconomic trends. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $169,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Collaborate across several cross-functional Google teams in order to set and continuously update the overall strategy for Google Cloud, with a focus on North America. Work with leadership to define where we make investments in terms of headcount, infrastructure (i.e. data centers), and other initiatives. Drive strategic initiatives to optimally set up our organization and operating model and drive growth of the business. Drill into the financial viability of our business to understand the relative profitability of solutions, markets, and verticals in order to enhance the profit and loss (P&L) of the business. Study the macroeconomic and trends in the market to understand specific new initiatives we can undertake to accelerate our growth.
