The Associate of Strategic Account Management is a pivotal role responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure that each Strategic Account Management team is aligned and delivers results. The Strategic Account Management Associate has responsibility for tracking and communicating daily, weekly, and monthly activities for a cross-functional team of hospital account managers at all levels. This role provides the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the Healthfirst business and is an entrée to larger roles within the Account Management organization. There is an expectation that the incumbent is an individual who is interested in learning and growing within the Account Management organization. This role reports to the Director of Strategic Account Management and is a highly visible position.
Responsibilities:
Leading a team of Hospital Specialists in a Matrix environment
Document and recommend changes to existent processes as part of workflow redesign to align to new Strategic Account Management structure
Coordinate account activity and workflow, including but not limited to the creation of presentation materials,
Facilitate team meetings and liaising with internal and external teams
Conduct research and reporting as needed, including market and network research
Ensure effective communications amongst cross-functional teams (including scheduling meetings and follow-ups, and managing weekly and/or monthly reports)
Work closely with numerous departmental partners, including operations, clinical quality, financial analysis, ancillary, population health, sales, and marketing
Master Health Insurance industry knowledge especially Healthfirst’s operating model by working closely with key individuals from various departments and showing willingness to learn
Compile meeting minutes and ensure follow-up items and tactics are tracked and completed on a timely basis
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, public health, business, economics, or another related field
At the minimum, two to five years’ work experience in the healthcare industry
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to develop relationships and partner with external and internal business stakeholders
Desire to learn more about the healthcare industry in general and dynamic New York market specifically
Ability to align and coalesce numerous team members
Coordinate/leverage internal resources appropriately to achieve strategic action plan goals
Ability to identify areas for improvement
Support various project implementation and complete additional administrative duties as applicable
Experience with process reengineering documentation
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications

Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $81,100 - $117,470
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $71,600 - $106,505
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
