We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual for the position of Strategic Acceleration Lead to join the AWS Partner Organization (APO) and work closely with APO’s most senior leaders, to ensure we are aligned and working as single organization to achieving our strategic goals. This role is pivotal in driving the successful implementation and acceleration of APO key strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, to achieve our strategic vision as a single organization.
You will Accelerate APO strategy (as defined by our Operating Plan) through strategic initiatives that transform APO’s organizational and technical capability, capacity and performance. You require a strong understanding of the internal and external Partner business dynamics, APO and AWS planning process, and the ability to make important data-driven decisions and implement strategies that enhance APO performance. You will understand the life-cycle of the partner business, from recruiting and developing partners to closing deals and winning renewals, and partner with teams responsible for each stage in the life-cycle to ensure that it is integrated into the life-cycle in a way that accelerates overall outcomes with partners.
You must be uncomfortable with status-quo, curious about new programs and initiatives impacting our customers, partners, and employees, and possess the ability to ask the right questions. You need to have a bias for action, make informed decisions, and work with minimal direction, demonstrating a proactive approach to projects and tasks. You must be comfortable taking risks and raising the bar for new ways of doing things. Strong analytical, Think Big, Invent & Simplify skills are crucial for success in this position.
Key job responsibilities
Manage and drive single, unified view of AWS Partner strategy by closely coordinating with the BU strategic initiative leaders to maintain cross organizational awareness, and surface challenges, disconnects, and opportunities quickly with regard to delivering on strategy.
Accelerate APO strategy (as defined by the APO Operating Plan) through strategic initiatives that transform APO’s organizational and technical capability, capacity and performance. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance overall strategy deployment effectiveness.
Support the Operations team by offering strategic insights and business expertise. The role responsibilities will revolve around facilitating the smooth execution of the APO rhythm of the business, owned by APO Operations.
Dive deep into the business dynamics of partners by collecting meaningful data, anecdotes, insights, and trends, both through internal data metrics and meetings with partners and customers, and participation in partner-facing meetings. The output of these interactions will facilitate the team ability to align and influence the APO strategy, ensuring that customer and partner needs remain at the center of our strategy and strategic initiatives.
Partner with APO Communications team to communicate strategy, goals, and progress effectively across all levels of the organization. Foster alignment and understanding among team members and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years experience in strategy deployment, strategic planning, or a related role.
Experience in conducting analysis of complex data and translating the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
Experience in communicating complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work effectively with executives and stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.
Experience working in a technology or cloud computing environment is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
