Bachman’s has an opening for a Store Planning Visual Designer- Interior Design who oversees the planning and execution of projects for the purpose of innovation, ideation, remodel, general maintenance, and repair for retail (grocery, on occasion). The Store Planning Visual Designer is the primary contact and project manager for interior design layouts and fixtures, in partnership with the facilities and maintenance team. They are involved in the planning, monitoring, and execution of project designs.

Job Responsibilities:
To oversee the planning and execution of projects for the purpose of innovation, ideation, remodel, general maintenance and repair
Research and collect information for new concepts and reinventions for stores, grocery, new business and office remodels
Primary contact and project manager for interior design input for all physical projects
Source inspiration and innovation through competitive shops
Create sketches, plans, materials boards and pricing for projects
Collects information on materials used for consistency/continuity in building projects requiring tile, carpet, fixtures, special lighting fixtures, and all related selections
Involved in the planning, monitoring and execution of design projects
Participate in facilities planning meetings as a member of the store planning committee
Determine fixture strategy and procurement
Sign design - directional and category signing, new signing programs
Qualifications :
College degree or vocational school in Interior Design
5-10 years Interior Design or Visual Leadership experience
Financial aptitude to manage a project budget
Ability to source materials – paint, tile, carpet, fixtures, lighting
Ability to utilize cad/drawing software understanding spatial aptitude
Ability to work with cross functional teams to execute global plans
Familiarity of all Bachman’s store layouts, fixtures, buildings and spaces
Work cross functionally with multiple teams to execute results
Ability to work unsupervised
Drive a planning/project schedule/calendar
Ability to communicate with multiple teams
Ability to curate large store assortment to small store format (Galleria and Grocery)
Overall style guide and design for signing; directional, category and new program signing
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Occasional weekend with holidays - 7:30-4:30 or 8:00-5:00
