Description
This is a STEM Intern Software Development position with Leidos’ Transportation Solutions business unit. Specifically, the Infrastructure and Lab Engineering group has an opening for a technical intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic engineering team who support Leidos Transportation Solutions Aviation software development, integration and testing environments composed of physical and virtual systems. This work can vary from traditional server/workstation administration to dev/ops work. In addition to system administration there will be opportunities to perform some software development work primarily fixing commercial product defects as they relate to the integrated product.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include server, workstation, and network administration. Administration includes responding to user trouble tickets requesting assistance with various technical issues such as password reset or full filesystems. Responsible for ensuring the software development and test labs are operational without issues impacting their use. Collaborate with other team members to accomplish problem resolution and various short-term and long-term projects.
Basic Qualifications
Applicants for this position must meet the following requirements:
2024 High School Graduate
Acceptance letter from college for fall 2024
Passing grade in AP Java or AP Computer Science class
Participant in District 196 E3 STEM Program
Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Your GPA needs to be included on your application and resume.
US Citizenship Requirements
Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
Successful completion of relevant high school courses in Computer Science and/or Engineering with demonstrated programming skills.
Problem Solving.

Ability to work well in highly diverse, collaborative, team environment.
Effective verbal, presentation, and written technical skills.
Flexible, motivated, self-starter.
At a minimum, entry level experience with Linux.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $66,975.00
