The STEM Ambassador is an integral part of the CS Pathwaysprogram in the School of Computer Science. This position is a perfect fit for someone looking to take a first step in their career to work with youth in a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education setting. Our goal is to be the premier agency for youth who have an interest in STEM programs. With the No. 1 priority being their work with the kids during program hours, the person who fills this position will also be responsible for the items listed below.
Your core responsibilities will include:Plan and execute technology/STEM activities duringsummer programming.Use STEM resources and curricula to achieve general goals of STEM literacy, excitement, and engagement.Co-create and design engaging STEM-focused curriculum through feedback, iteration, and execution.Plan and implement quality programs for youth that encourage participation from all membersProvide guidance and role modeling for membersMentor and inspire youth, adults, and volunteers in the creative processKeep records of participants, schedules, and attendanceTeach the curriculum for 40-minute rotations with multiple groups of youth. Adapt the activities to be developmentally appropriate.Perform all additional duties and tasks assigned by leadership/supervisors.

Ability to tolerate environmental conditions: air conditioning, heat, dust fumes, noise, close quarters, etc.
Requirements:Successful background checkBe able to attend a minimum of 12 hours of training per year.
Additional Information:Schedule: Varies Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00 - up to 35 hours per week
