  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs our Intern, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in various areas such as park operations, resource management, administration, and environmental education. You will be based at the Kinzua Bridge Park Office and will also have the chance to work at different field sites within the state park. Throughout your internship, you will learn how to oversee a park maintenance program, support recreational and educational activities, handle natural resources, and collaborate with park staff to implement statewide park operation guidelines.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Student may work nights and weekends, not to exceed 37.5 hours a week. Typical hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:Park and Resource ManagementEnvironmental ScienceConservationWildlife TechnologyEnvironmental EducationAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

  Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
