This position serves as the Chief Accountant and the Administrator of the Accounting Services Division. This position is responsible for providing leadership and administration of the accounting functions within the department. These responsibilities include the coordination and oversight of all accounting processes and functions, the development and monitoring of standards to ensure appropriate disbursement of all funds allocated to the Department of Treasury and the Fiscal and Trust functions of Treasury's component units, year-end close activities, and accounting processes related to Treasury's central control functions. Additionally, this position oversees the Accounting Service Center functions between Treasury, Lottery and Gaming and oversees the Tax Accounting area to help ensure successful implementations of new and existing functionality and appropriate accounting for SIGMA, SAP, GenTax, and other Information Technology (IT) related projects. This position is also responsible to formulate and recommend division goals and long-range plans and development of an annual business plan and support Treasury overall goals, strategic planning, and employee engagement projects.
