Responsibilities:Integrating state and local tax services with existing clientsCompleting tax planning and research tasksDeveloping an understanding of state and local tax regulations and accountingpronouncementsReviewing client's current tax processes to identify inefficiencies andprovide enhancements to improve the clients' procedures and reduce taxexposureWorking with the client's information technology personnel to obtain data ofhistorical purchasing and sales to analyze for reporting requirements, auditprocedures, and review for potential refund or creditsAssisting the client with evaluating sales/use tax software systems thatmeet their compliance needs and support the implementation process
Required Qualifications:Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited universityAccounting majorTravel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to andability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to thoselocationsMinimum 3.0 GPA preferred
Preferred Qualifications:Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam - tax associates havethe opportunity to obtain the audit hours required for full certificationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to work effectively on a teamAbility to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
