We are looking to hire a Staff Technical Program Manager for our Sunnyvale/Belevue office who will work with multiple cross-functional teams to enable us to more efficiently execute on initiatives that are business critical. The Staff Technical Program Manager has day-to-day responsibility for managing multiple complex software development program and projects under Walmart e-Commerce portfolio to completion.

  Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

   What you'll do :

  You will be the owner and driver of complex, multi-disciplinary and multi-product technology projects using your techno-functional expertise for program delivery. You will be responsible to ensure planning through deep discovery, scope and feature set of programs, understand and articulate detailed requirements with all stakeholders and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing schedules, identifying risk's and dependencies, obtain cross team alignment, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders. You understand systems interdependencies and lead cross-functional teams towards technical solutions You will be responsible communicating and explaining your program's analysis, risks, issues, and recommendations to leadership, as well as explain the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. You proactively and effectively communicate program statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies You are constantly striving to develop best practices in a changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery. Ensuring program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review You actively drive and contribute to resource planning to ensure program success and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions

   What you'll bring :

  BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, related fields or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years' Cross-functional Technical Program Management experience working among several groups such as: design, product management, engineering, and business stakeholders. Ability to comprehend high-level system and software architecture Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies, and their relevance to the marketplace. Prior hands-on technical experience with system or software engineering Knowledge in conducting SQL queries of a database systems Experience with quality engineering practices (function/non-functional testing, manual vs. automated testing) Ability to handle multiple priorities in an energizing environment Experience working with technical teams. Interest and ability to learn other technical areas as needed. Problem-solving and organizational experience across multiple teams.

  Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

  The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

  Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  - Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

  - Stock equity incentives

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

  • Option 2: 7 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
