Explore is responsible for ingesting millions of records from the Zendesk product family and allowing them to be queried and visualised at low latency - and all that at internet scale!

Take ownership of the infrastructure design, deployment operations of our microservices, using best DevOps practices.You will create and maintain the infrastructure for supporting highly data driven applications and help drive innovation on the future of infrastructure.Work on meaningful and impactful projects every quarter both as a group and with the opportunity and challenge to lead projects yourselfContinuously improve the stability and reliability of the infrastructure by evolving the existing tooling and seeking creative solutions to upcoming projectsSolve infrastructure problems that have visible risks, roadblocks, and constraints. Examples might be: legacy dependencies, compliance issues, architecture or technology limitations.
What you bring to the role
Expert Terraform knowledge and skills.Strong proficiency in Python.Experience working with Amazon ECS Clusters.Strong engineering and architecture experience and extensive knowledge in designing infrastructure for microservices.Professional knowledge and experience of commonly used technologies like Kubernetes, SQL and best practices.Experienced in ensuring observability to capture business centric metrics for high throughput applications and underlying infrastructure, this way allowing us to upheld our reliability posture.An ability to mentor other engineers, host knowledge-sharing sessions and act as an advocate for best tech practices.An agile mindset with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
Experience working with any OLAP engines like Apache Pinot, Apache Druid or ClickHouse.Prior experience in migrating application workloads from one cloud orchestrator to another.

Our code is written in Ruby, Scala, Typescript.Our data pipeline is using Spark (AWS EMR)Our real-time pipeline is using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink & RedisOur infrastructure runs on AWS ECS clusters and we maintain our infrastructure using terraform.Our data are stored in AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis and RedshiftWe are also using AWS Aurora MySQL as application databasesWe are using Github Actions as part of our CI/CD process.Datadog is our tool for monitoring and logging.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł268,000.00-zł402,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors.
