About Staff Software Engineer, Ads

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

  Preferred qualifications:

  Experience with statistical modeling.

  Experience with software development, machine learning, and/or data analytics. Experience with TensorFlow, C++, and Machine Learning.

  Experience with large-scale system design and development. C++ experience.

  Experience with advertising products, ads or search, ability to work across teams/organizations and understand multiple large pieces of infrastructure.

  Experimentation/analysis skills.

  Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

  With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

  In this role, you will lead teams across Google Ads to revolutionize how online ads measurement by advancing privacy preserving and machine learning technologies. The Privacy Centric Measurement team ensures Google continues to provide accurate conversion measurement and high-quality optimization to its customers.

  Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

  Help define the direction and roadmap for the team.

  Develop privacy, safe, and secure computational paradigm to solve challenging problems.

  Build models to predict online conversions using data from various sources in a privacy safe way.

  Manage priorities between short-term efforts and long-term modeling.

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams on high-impact projects.
