*Job Duties: *
Lead, design, implement, and deliver features in the Outreach Data Sync product, and migrate data and traffic from the legacy Sync infrastructure to the re-architected scalable and generic platform.
Specific duties performed on a daily basis:
Support the legacy sync infrastructure during data and traffic migration to tackle customer problems and infrastructure issues by participating in on-call rotation.Investigate and root cause bugs reported by customers to resolve them in a timely manner.Work with the product manager, QA and technical support teams to understand requirements, end-to-end use cases, customer needs and priorities.Design and document the proposed architecture for executing data/traffic migration projects, and new features in the data sync next-gen platform by understanding requirements and use cases, validating assumptions, evaluating various technical options available and the trade-offs of choosing one over the other, and driving discussions with the team to finalize an approach.Plan and execute the implementation phase of quarterly projects by creating a work breakdown, creating a milestone plan, working with multiple engineers to deliver sub-features incrementally, while pairing with them to resolve unknowns and blockers along the way.Maintain and enhance the quality of the product by providing code review feedback, creating tools that automate the end-to-end testing of the Sync domain, and adding adequate unit, integration and end-to-end test coverage.
Requirements:
Position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.
Must possess at least 1 year of experience in the following skills:
Requirements elicitation and analysis;Software quality assurance and testing;Software architecture design;Software project management;API design and implementation;Data structures and algorithms;DevOps.Telecommuting is permitted within a reasonable commuting distance from Seattle, WA.
