What you'll do...
The Data Management Services and AI organization focuses on managing and delivering capabilities that enable data and model lifecycle management. We build the comprehensive foundations for the definition of data across the enterprise and enable third party data enablement. The AI Management pillar encompasses technical practices, processes, guidelines and tools to develop, deploy, monitor and manage all AI-ML solutions across Walmart enterprise. Our goal is to drive standardized & trustworthy AI/ML development practice across its lifecycle tied closely to an enterprise defined AI/ML asset management process. Through a comprehensive and robust Data and AI management program, we empower our business to leverage data to fuel growth, drive revenue, build new business model opportunities supporting our culture of data excellence.
As a member of the Data and AI Management organization, the Staff Product Manager- Data and AI Management will work with engineers, data scientists, business partners, peer product managers, Digital Citizenship, and other functions to meet business goals and build the tools and infrastructure to support Walmart's data and analytics strategy, the next-generation of Walmart Data Portal (WDP) and its AI governance capabilities a nd help create great experiences for both internal users and Walmart customers.
What you'll Do:
Partner with Product leadership and the rest of the Data and AI Management team to define and execute the Walmart Data Platform strategic roadmap and vision, supporting Walmart's current needs and deciding what Walmart should invest in to position itself for the future data and AI needs
Contribute to defining and executing plans for data management operationalization; partner with Data Excellence functional teams to ensure delivery of communications, training, governing bodies, and business engagement of priority initiatives; support implementation of Data Management programs as SMEs
Develop requirements and provide technical support for the on-going implementation of data management across the business and tech organizations
Identify the drivers of critical metrics and KPIs for Data and AI management products and provide recommendations accordingly
Work directly with engineering teams using Agile methodologies to develop, maintain, and execute against product roadmap and lead prioritization with stakeholders to ensure benefit realization
Define and implement data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management programs to support business requirements
Define and implement lifecycle management, assessment, catalog, and monitoring programs to support business requirements
Demonstrate a passion for details with the ability to ideate and problem solve actively with business leaders, product, data science, and engineering stakeholders
Collaborate with key stakeholders including but not limited to various Products teams, Engineering, vertical business leaders and legal throughout the product life cycle
Partner closely with Business and Data Science teams to ensure proper measurement instrumentation, monitoring and reporting of product success post launch
Communicate plans and progress to leadership and partner teams
Evangelize Data Management and AI across the organization, drive new emerging technology integration, and identify new product innovation opportunities based on market trends and customer demand
What you'll bring:
5+ years of experience launching products in an Agile environment
Experience with A/B Testing and experimental design
Experience defining and tracking product metrics
Experience working with data engineering teams to build solutions to expand data ingestion and data pipeline frameworks
Experience with leading master data and product information management initiatives to help the Data Management products collect, organize, and leverage all their valuable consumer and product data
Ability to think and act strategically to create roadmaps that align with the company's strategies and lead to the achievement of business priorities
Possess "Product Sense" and be able to apply a "user-centered" approach to create product requirements that meet the needs of various personas across the enterprise
Highly collaborative with strong communication skills. You build trust, respect and cooperation among teams which develop into constructive working relationships
Excellent analytical skills with experience sharing insights in several different mediums from Slack to PowerPoint
A high degree of comfort with ambiguity - you are able to quickly develop hypotheses with limited information, test, measure and iterate
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
Self-motivated and willing to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Technical master's degree
Domain knowledge in Data Management and AI policy and governance
Data and AI "as a service" experience

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
